Process:
As part of the Technical Writing HQ Certification capstone project, I developed an information architecture (IA) document using Draw.io. The instruction was to conduct an audit of a website or part of a website. I chose Github.com because I'm currently learning about open-source contributions and wanted to learn more about what this resource offers.

I began the design with Home as the main element, and then added the top options of the menu bar, followed by categories and sub-categories. For simplicty purposes, I used two (2) shapes and five (5) colors.
Key Takeaways:
Even though I had experience using diagramming software (LucidChart), it was my first time using Draw.io. The tool was easy to use and both technical writers and instructional designers should take leverage this software.
