Who?
"You have a slight accent. Where are you from?"
Yes. I have a slight accent because I'm an international student.
I was born and raised in Venezuela, so my native language is Spanish. When I was 5 years old, my family moved to Maryland, U.S.A where we lived for two and a half years before heading back home again. I am lucky to say that I am fluently bilingual and currently learning my third language: French. What do I like to do in my free time? I like watching international films, listening to music, writing and going out to dance (mostly latin music like salsa, merengue, bachata... you name it).
I graduated from high school in Spring'13 and began studying Communications at UCAB in Caracas, Venezuela. I finished my freshman year there, but due to my country's situation, my parents decided I should go study abroad. The University of Tampa became my home after that. Today, I am a senior majoring in International Business & Marketing.

Student Life
The University of Tampa has given me amazing opportunities, friends, and experiences. I now have friends from all over the world and have learned about different cultures.
During my years in college, I have met great professors, who I still keep in touch with. I am now president of UT's Women Business Professionals Association, work as Promotions Representative at UT's Campus Recreation, and recently joined the American Marketing Association.

Why Social Media?
Like any person in their 20s nowadays, I grew up learning about new technology. From mp3 players, to the first ipod, and to the recent Iphone X, technology has always been there for me.
Social Media is one those things that has always been there for me to explore and use. People my age are open to trying new things, create and dream. The power of social media for businesses is a recent discovery. Who would have thought of this? Social media platforms are ever-changing and this is what makes them interesting for me. They change their designs and usage as we (as consumers) change our own needs. I have worked with social media in past internships, as well as my current job as Student Promotions Representative at UT's Campus Recreation.
